Petr Holub, Ph.D. (firstname.lastname@example.org) - graduated at Faculty of Sciences, Masaryk University in Brno (2001) and received the Ph.D. degree from Faculty of Informatics MU (2005), focusing at high-speed networks, multimedia, and collaborative environments. Currently he works at Institute of Computer Science MU (since 1999) in the Laboratory of Advanced Networking Technologies and participates on its scientific leadership. He is also a researcher with CESNET (since 2004). Dr. Holub has worked as a visiting researcher at Louisiana State University (2006) and also works closely with other international universities and institutes (e.g., EVL UIC, CREW UMich, ICAIR NW, Internet2, ResearchChannel). His professional interests include high-speed networks and suitable protocols, active networks, user-empowered overlay networks, multimedia processing and real-time distribution, advanced collaborative environments with extensions to grid environments. Dr. Holub has been investigator of number of international and national research and development projects (e.g., EU GridLab, EU ITHANET, EU EuroCareCF, NSF EAGER, MSM 6383917201, MSM 0021622419, GACR 102/09/H042). He is an author of more than 40 international research papers, co-author of one patent, and a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
