María José López Pourailly is the PR & Communications Manager of CLARA, the Latin American Cooperation of Research Networks. She holds a Licenciate in Social Communication and a Bachelor´s degree in Journalism from the University Andrés Bello (Chile) in 1998. Before joining REUNA (the Chilean NREN) in 2000, she worked at several Chilean media (radio, tv, newspapers), in Editorial Planeta (as PR Manager) and was full time professor of Multimedia Journalism of the University Andrés Bello in Santiago. Miss López is also the Chief of International Relations and Communications & Public Relations Dept. of REUNA (Chilean NREN). In CLARA she is also in charge of Visibility of the ALICE2 project (EC funded, @LIS2 Programme).
In the EELA project she worked in Dissemination occupying the position of WP4.1
(Dissemination) Task Leader; and in EELA-2 she worked as Deputy manager in WP3(Dissemination).
She is a journalist, with wide experience in advance networks, collaborative and distributed projects development and implementation, web sites design and management, editing and coordination of scientific and of advanced networks seminars and events; also she developed the PR Plan for CLARA, ALICE2, and worked in the organization of the ALICE –CLARA Launch Event (Río de Janeiro, November 22, 2004) and is currently involved in the ALICE2 – RedCLARA2 Launch Event.
